Made during a narrative design workshop at Gobelins Paris and CNAM-ENJMIN, as part of our game design master. 

Inspired by Robin des Moulins, an outworking place based at the Fosseuse Mill (Oise region).

🐚 Story and context

As a mysterious evil cripples the rest of his tribe, a small being sets out to explore the place that has been home to his people for centuries, a water mill now abandoned. Following the growing relationship between two women who may well hold the mill's future in their hands, he travels back in time to unravel the cause of his people's disappearance.

This demo takes place as our character has already been introduced to his adventure, and is discovering how he can use the past — thanks to his asleep friends — to restore present memory.

⌨️ Gameplay and controls

NACRE is a point-and-click game.

— Click anywhere on the screen to move.

— Watch out for the gaps ! Maybe there is a way to cross over them using time ? 

— Spot the clues in the environment and click on them to bring them in your inventory. 

— Fill the dialogues when "---" appears on a line, with an item from your inventory depending on the discussion topic.
